Berlin, 27 January 2025 – terralayr’s new battery storage facility in Tittling, Bavaria, is now connected to the grid
A further step for Germany’s energy transition. We are delighted to announce another milestone today: Our new battery storage facility in Tittling, Bavaria, is now connected to the grid. With an energy capacity of 22.83 MWh and a power output of 10.35 MW, this storage facility can reliably supply more than 25,000 households for two hours.
The storage facility is now part of terralayr’s “Flexibility on Demand” offering, through which electricity producers, grid operators, traders, and businesses looking to store energy—without having direct access to physical storage assets—can meet their needs by accessing virtual storage capacity on demand, backed by a portfolio of physical batteries like the one in Tittling.
All battery investors can integrate their assets into the terralayr platform, benefiting from higher and more stable returns through an individual calibration of merchant and contracted revenues.
Thanks to our partners be.storaged, FBS-Systems, Bayernwerk, and the municipality of Tittling for their cooperation!
See our video below for insights into the construction progress over the past few weeks.
