Ready to Build: Lohsa, Saxony

Berlin, 6 March 2025 – terralayr’s new battery storage facility in Lohsa, Saxony, is at Ready to Build

Construction will begin soon, marking another milestone for terralayr and our efforts in accelerating the energy transition.

What does Ready to Build mean? It means everything is in place for construction to start—grid access, secured land, building permits, easements, and more.

Project Highlights:
⚡ 8 MW / 16 MWh
📍 Lohsa, Saxony
🔋 Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology
📈 Planned Commercial Operation: early 2026

Each new battery storage facility is a crucial step towards a more resilient, renewable-powered energy system. This project is part of terralayr’s growing portfolio of large-scale battery storage systems, all of which will be integrated into our flexibility platform to enable access to the best offtakers in the market, whilst enabling buyers of flexibility to access capacity on demand.

A special thanks to MITNETZ STROM and sdp energie for their collaboration.
