Berlin, Construction begins at our next large-scale battery storage site in Döbeln, Saxony!
We’re excited to announce that terralayr has kicked off construction on a 15 MW / 30 MWh battery storage facility in Döbeln. After the site has reached the "Ready-to-Build" status very recently, it is now scheduled for commissioning still in 2025. The system will play a key role in supporting the local grid operated by MITNETZ STROM — the largest regional distribution network operator in Eastern Germany.
We’re proud to collaborate once again with be.storaged GmbH as EPC partner and sdp energie in the development process.
The storage system will not only help balance renewable energy fluctuations, but also stabilize local grid frequency and prevent outages in the medium-voltage network. As with all our assets, it will be integrated into the terralayr flexibility platform, optimising operations and commercialisation of the asset.
Let’s accelerate the energy transition – one battery at a time!
