Berlin, 10 July 2025 - terralayr to start construction at 8 MW / 16 MWh Project Lohsa
After recently announcing that our Lohsa project reached the Ready to Build milestone, we’re excited to share that we are now partnering again with AXSOL in the construction phase.
Project Highlights:
⚡ 8 MW / 16 MWh
📍 Lohsa, Saxony
🔋 Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology
📆 Planned COD (commercial operation date): Q1 2026
🏗️ EPC: AXSOL
With the capacity to power 20,000 households for two hours, the system will help stabilize the local and regional grid, respond to fluctuations in renewable generation, and contribute to a more resilient energy system.
Beyond supporting Germany’s energy transition through flexibility, the project will also strengthen the local economy, with 90% of business taxes staying in Lohsa.
A big thank you to our partners AXSOL , MITNETZ STROM and the municipality of Lohsa for their support and commitment to leading the energy transition.
More updates to come as we move toward commissioning!
